The couple had a simple wedding with a medieval theme at a Society for Creative Anachronism meeting in Saint Louis.

The bride graduated from Larned High School in 1989 and from Pittsburg State University in 1995.

The bridegroom graduated from El Dorado High School in Albuquerque in 1989 and Tulane University in New Orleans, La., in 1994.

The couple work and reside in Saint Louis.

Audrey Elise Starbuck and Craig Joseph Dye, both of Omaha, Neb., were united in marriage on Dec. 31, at the First United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Neb. The bride wore a strapless, white satin A-line gown by Sophia Tolli. The gown featured a draped bodice and corset back. The asymmetrical waistline featured side drapes with flower accents, a tiered tulle underskirt with lace trim, a sweep train, and a detachable three-tiered, chapel-length train with lace detail. Her single-layer fingertip veil featured crystal edging. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Bridesmaids were Kate Williams and Stephanie Simpson, both of Lincoln; Sarah Abrahams of Omaha; Heather Beaver of Lawrence; and honorary attendant Caroline Ideus of Japan. They wore red, strapless, tea-length gowns and carried bouquets of white roses.

Groomsmen were Aaron Dye, brother of the groom, of Omaha; Brett Dye, brother of the groom, of Lincoln; Tom Unger of Dubuque, Iowa; and Andy Starbuck, brother of the bride, of Colby.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a Valerie Couture by Moonlight strapless A-line gown with a fitted, dropped-waist bodice. The gown was of ivory Italian satin accented by cultured pearls, sequins and Swarovski crystals on the bodice and running the length of the train. Her fingertip veil was held by a crystal tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses, pink lilies and white stephanotis.

The bride’s attendants were Crystal Schroeder of Great Bend; Lori Doonan, sister-in-law of the bride, of Cleveland, Ohio; Lyndsay Doonan, sister-in-law of the bride, of Fort Smith, Ark.; Megan Romine and Amanda Garrett both of Manhattan; Krista Farrell, sister of the groom, of Salina; and Tara Olsen of Lawrence. They wore red, strapless, tea-length gowns with a looped ivory sash and carried bouquets of red, white and pink roses.

Miller — Gilmore

Jennifer Marie Miller and Matthew Edward Gilmore were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony on July 28, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Parents of the couple are John and Connie Miller of Claflin and John and Kathie Gilmore of Pittsburg. The ceremony was officiated by the Most Reverend Bishop Ronald M. Gilmore, DD, of Dodge City and Father Tom Stroot, of Pittsburg.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a fitted Pronovias gown with trumpet skirt. The gown and train were constructed of plumetti tulle and adorned with lace appliqués. The bodice and skirt were accented with a satin bow. The shoulder-length veil also fashioned a matching satin bow. The bride carried a hand-tied, round bouquet of white calla lilies, white lilies and white and yellow narcissus.

Maid of honor was Lisa Gruver of Winfield. Bridesmaids were Aubrey Folk of Emporia, Bobbi Sue Musgrove of Memphis, Tenn., and Katy Struble of Derby. They wore black, tea-length, strapless dresses adorned with lace and a satin ribbon around the waist. They each carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Best man was Mark Schremmer of Topeka. Groomsmen were Ryan Boler and Zack Manns of Pittsburg, and Jerrod O’Nelio of Los Angeles, Calif.

He received a bachelor’s degree from Pittsburg State University in finance and marketing and received a master’s degree in business administration in 2005. He works as an associate national bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of Currency in Joplin, Mo.

Linda Dueser and Harlen Jerke exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony on Dec. 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. Officiating the ceremony were the Rev. Gary Brooks and the Rev. Jim Strasen.

The bride was escorted by her nephew, Andrew Debes of Wichita. Ushers were sons of the bridegroom, Travis Jerke of Bloomington, Ind., and Chad Jerke and Eric Jerke, both of Great Bend.

Musicians for the ceremony were Nina Jerke, vocalist, Eric Jerke, pianist, and Brad Shirer, organist.

Candlelighters were grandchildren of the bridegroom, Alyssa, Cassidy and Meghan Jerke of Bloomington, Ind., and Kaitlyn, Max, Zoe, Noah, Rylee and Grace Jerke, all of Great Bend.

The wedding was followed by a luncheon/reception in the church fellowship hall. Reception assistants were Janice Lubeck and Reta Wynne of Great Bend and Marcia Sauber of Ellinwood.

The bride, formerly of El Dorado and Ellinwood, has lived in Great Bend since 1972 and is employed as a communications specialist at Barton County Community College.

The groom is originally from the Tripp and Scotland, S.D., area and has lived in Great Bend since 1973. He is retired after 32 years as a financial associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Parents of the bride are Steve and Linda Pringle. Parents of the groom are Merle and Barbie Scheuerman. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Steph Boone of Great Bend. Bridesmaids were Jackie Pringle, sister of the bride, and Stacy Achatz, both of Great Bend; Ann Giebler, cousin of the bride, of Fairway; Bambi Scheuerman, sister of the groom, and Tara Erb, both of Ellinwood.

Best man was Heath Bowman of Ellinwood. Groomsmen were Justin Williams and Kevin Dickson, both cousins of the groom; Dwayne Schartz, uncle of the groom, Jason Mitchum and Ben Mitchum, all of Ellinwood.

Flower girl was Jadin Boone and the ring bearer was Devin Boone, both of Great Bend. Ushers were Kevin Pringle, brother of the bride, of Great Bend and Mark Freeman of Ellinwood. Candlelighters were Bailie Scheuerman, sister of the groom, and Christy Kaspar, both of Ellinwood. Organist was William Marcellus and vocalists were Jeff and Sherry Langrehr.

The couple reside in Ellinwood.

Robison -

Corie Lee Burditt and Kyle Jon Robison were united in marriage in a candlelit ceremony on Dec. 15 at the I Cross My Heart Chapel in Choctaw, Okla. Ron Black officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Keith and Anita Burditt of Ness City. Parents of the groom are Tony Robison of Lamar, Okla., and Jan Robison of Holdenville, Okla.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory Venus Bridals gown with a dramatic silky taffeta pickup skirt, with a cummerbund of shirred taffeta bodice, and strapless sweetheart neckline encrusted with Swarovski crystals. She wore a two-tier, elbow-length ivory veil with Swarovski crystals and pearls edged in ivory satin ribbon and a tiara of rhinestones. She carried a hand-tied clutch bouquet of white Eskimo roses tipped in silver and white tulips accented with ice branches and seeded eucalyptus.

Matron of honor was Miranda Reece of Stigler, Okla.

Best man was J.W. Hammonds of McAlester, Okla.

Ushers were Keith Burditt Jr. of Manhattan, brother of the bride, and Laren Robison of Holdenville, Okla., brother of the groom.

The bride graduated from Ness City High School in 1998 and Barton County Community College in 2000. She received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Kansas State University in 2003. She is employed by Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, Okla.

The groom graduated from Moss High School, Holdenville, Okla., in 2002. He will graduate from Bacone College, Muskogee, Okla., with his bachelor’s degree in business management in 2007. He is self-employed.

The couple resides in Lamar, Okla. There will be a reception for the couple at 7 p.m. on April 7 at the First Baptist Church in Ness City.

Lorch - Bruner

Jennifer Lorch and Matthew Bruner, both of Overland Park, were married Nov. 11 at Deer Creek Golf Club in Overland Park.

Parents of the couple are David and Jane Lorch of Harris, Iowa, and Tom and Kathy Bruner of Great Bend. Grandparents of the couple are Betty Fleske of Larned and William and Dorothy Bruner of Eldora, Iowa.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Drake University. She is a senior marketing resource coordinator for Ellerbe Becket Architects.

The prospective groom, a graduate of the University of Kansas, is a senior network administrator for Federal Occupational Health.

The couple is at home in Overland Park.
