LARNED — The ninth-ranked 4A Division II Larned girls improved their record to 9-7 here Tuesday evening as they eased by the Hoisington Cardinals 38-31, in a Central Kansas League game.
Larned jumped out to a 13-3 first-quarter lead behind the defensive efforts of Ivory Muldrow. She totaled five steals in the first quarter and those steals were converted to points. Hoisington would settle down in the second stanza but Larned still held a 21-14 halftime edge. The two teams battled through the third quarter on even terms, ending with Larned still leading 28-22.
