DODGE CITY — The Great Bend boys captured the Western Athletic Conference bowling championship and Panthers Jordan Black and Allie Brodrick earned WAC-Bowler of the Year honors.
Great Bend finished with 68 points and Garden City (64) placed second. Great Bend posted the best series score in two of three games, 803-800 and 931-882 over the Buffaloes.
Great Bend’s Mike Perry was named Boys Coach of the Year.
The Great Bend girls scored 67 points and finished as WAC runner-up to Garden City (71). Great Bend defeated Garden City head-to-head, 173-170 and 192-156 in Baker games, but Garden City posted ...
