Otis-Bison boys, girls sweep substate titles in Ingalls

Cougars get first-round pairings

OTIS-BISON BOYS 44, INGALLS 34
INGALLS – The Otis-Bison boys raced past Ingalls 44-34 to clinch the Cougars’ first state basketball appearance since 2012 when they placed runner-up. The Cougars (16-7) play Hartford (18-5) at 4:45 p.m. Thursday at Dodge City's Wireless Arena. Other first-round games are Caldwell (21-2) against Axtell (6-17), Ashland (18-6) against Sharon Springs-Wallace County (17-6) and Hutchinson Central Christian (19-4) against Wheatland-Grinnell (14-9).
Maitland Wiltse scored 12 points and Anton Foust added 11 points for the Cougars, which earned the ninth state trip in Bison and Otis-Bison school history. The Cougars outscored Ingalls 9-3 ...
