Tornado watch issued for Kansas

WICHITA -- National Weather Service officials in Wichita issued a tornado watch for a  wide swath of Kansas until 11 p.m. Thursday including Barton, Stafford, Rush, Rice, and Pawnee counties.

Golf ball (1.75 inch) to baseball sized (2.75-inch) hail, damaging winds up to 75 mph and flood producing heavy rain are possible. A flash flood watch covers southern and south central Kansas Thursday.

The weather warnings started in northern Oklahoma. A tornado watch is issued for northerrn and western Oklahoma until 8 p.m. Washita and Caddo counties were under tornado warnings. Custer and Kiowa counties in Oklahoma ...
