BUSY BEES: Story Time entertains children

Great Bend Public Library’s “Miss Amy” had children listening, singing and playing on Tuesday during Story Time. This week’s subject was Bees.
There were quiet times when Children’s Librarian Amy Mayhill and staff read books. “Buzz, Buzz, Busy Bees” is about animal sounds. “Bee Dance,” by Rick Chrustowski, explains some of the real behavior of bees, including a figure-eight pattern dance used to share the location of a food source with hivemates.
After hearing the story, children got to do their own honeybee wiggle dance.
Things became more lively as the children wiggled and buzzed like bees ...
