Dodge City A’s rally past Great Bend Bat Cats

DODGE CITY — The Dodge City A’s outscored the Great Bend Bat Cats 11-1 after trailing 7-2 for a 13-8 Jayhawk League baseball victory Thursday. Great Bend (5-6) heads to Liberal Friday for a three-game series. Dodge City (6-3) plays at Derby.
The Bat Cats led 7-2 after 41/2 innings when the bullpen yielded 11 runs. The A’s broke a 7-7 tie with a six-run eighth inning off relievers Ryan Patrick and Alex Ruxlow. Josh Croby homered off Patrick after Dakota Conners reached on an eighth-inning error.
