Great Bend Braves baseball beats Cunningham 36-0

BUHLER — The Class A Great Bend Braves 17-and-under baseball team rolled past Cunningham 36-0 in Tuesday’s Class A zone opener. The Braves (23-12) play Pratt at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
The Braves scored 13 runs in the first inning and 23 runs in the second inning. Dalton Barfield and Brayden Powell drove in four runs. Barfield and Christian Zahnter delivered three-run triples. Riley Smith and Joey Soupiset hit two-run triples and Eduardo Bujanda hit a two-run single.
Braves pitchers Jacob Hanrahan, Jayce Christiansen and Nahum Olivas combined for a three-inning no-hitter.
