Facey cruises into semis of 200m on Tuesday

Simone Facey had no troubles reaching the semifinals of the 200m at the World Championships in London Tuesday afternoon.
Facey, running for Jamaica, finished second in her heat to earn an automatic spot in Thursday’s semifinals as she pursues her first medal at the Championships.
Facey cruised to a 22.98 behind Shaunae Miller-Uibo of the Bahamas, who won the fourth heat in 22.69. Facey was well ahead of the third place time of 23.24 by Edidiong Ofonime Odiong of Bahrain. All three were automatic qualifiers.
