Three Panther wrestlers place first

SALINA — State-ranked Drew Liles (113, 14-2), George Weber (132, 17-2) and Gage Fritz (152, 17-2) captured first place at the Salina South Wrestling Tournament. Salina Central (162) placed first and Great Bend (126.5) placed runner-up.
Liles won three matches. Weber won five matches and beat Junction City’s Max Bazan 4-0 in the finals. Fritz won five matches and defeated Colby’s Sean Rall 5-2 in the finals.
Panther Carsyn Schooler (120, 12-7) placed runner-up with a 4-0 loss to Salina Central’s Julion Falco in the championship match.
