Cougar women defeat Kansas Wesleyan in tennis

SALINA – The Barton women’s tennis team had very little trouble in defeating Kansas Wesleyan Thursday afternoon in Salina, winning all but one match during the afternoon.
The Cougars swept the doubles matches and one all but one single battle.
“The ladies put it together today as a team,” Coach Lyle Stickney said. “Hopefully they can keep the momentum as we play back-to-back conference matches over the weekend.”
Neus Torregrosa rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 singles over Paola Vargus then teammed with Sarah Hammer for an 8-4 win in doubles.
