Cougar men split tennis matches against Hesston and Seward

The Barton men’s tennis team had an up and down week last week, rolling to a win over Hesston then suffering a loss to No. 3 ranked Seward County.
In the win over Hesston at Veterans Park in Great Bend, the Cougars swept the doubles matches to start the day then captured four of the six singles matches for a 7-2 win.
“It was great getting off to a good start in doubles,” Coach Lyle Stickney said. “The 3-0 cushion we got by sweeping the doubles took the pressure off of the singles.”
