Panther swimmers runner-up at Newton

NEWTON —Great Bend’s returning state qualifier Camryn Dunekack placed runner-up twice and the Panthers finished runner-up (271.5) to Newton (329.5) at Thursday’s Newton Swimming Invitational.
Dunekack placed second in the 50 freestyle (27.1) behind Hutchinson’s Lonna Porter (26.37) and second in the 100 freestyle (59.36) to Hesston’s Addi Schroeder. Dunekack placed second in the 50 free (24.48), third in the 100 free (54.53) at state last year.
The Panthers’ best relay finish was a third-place in the 200 medley relay (2:12.75) with Calista Long, Olivia Mull, Delaney ...
