Red-hot Indian baseball sweeps Vikings

LARNED — Larned’s baseball team swept Smoky Valley 7-3 and 21-9 Thursday to stretch their winning streak to eight games. Larned has swept four consecutive Central Kansas League doubleheaders. Larned (10-8) plays at winless Lyons Tuesday.

LARNED 7, SMOKY VALLEY 3 (G1) — Larned’s Austin Gladow ripped a three-run homer to spark Larned to a 7-0 lead. Larned pitcher Alex Barger struck out a season high 11 batters.
The Indians scored four first-inning runs. Carson Smith singled and Mello Bryant walked. Barger singled home Smith. Martin was hit by a pitch and Gladow drilled ...
