Cougar women into second round in five draws at NJCAA Championships

WACO, Texas – More than half of the Barton women’s tennis team moved into the second round on the winner’s side of the NJCAA Championships after day one of competition was complete in Waco, Texas.
Three singles draws and two doubles draws stayed in the winner’s bracket.
In the singles draw, Barton’s No. 1 and 2 players advanced along with the No. 5 singles player.
At No. 1 singles, Neus Torregrosa rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Marta Caballero of Lewis & Clark College. That sets up a second-round showdown between Torregrosa, the No. 9 ranked player ...
