USD 428 Board OKs staff changes

District welcomes new personnel

 The last school year has wound down and Unified School District 428 is looking to next year, including the shuffling of staff. 

In his report to the School Board Monday night, Assistant Superintendent John Popp summarized these changes. They included:

• 61 position changes

• Seven retirements

• 36 resignations

• 18 Transfers

• 29 new-to-district hires

• Three position reductions

• One position added (Riley grade six)

• 12 positions yet to be hired. These include: Eisenhower Elementary, kindergarten; Riley Elementary, kindergarten, and grade one, four and six;  Great Bend High School ELA coach; Great Bend Middle School, social studies; and Special Services, three psychologist positions, one ...
