Great Bend Fire Department

Firefighters made six ambulance runs on Friday, seven Saturday and seven Sunday.

At 3:53 p.m. Friday they were dispatched to 1206 Morton St. when a vehicle hit a gas meter in the alley, causing a leak.

There was a small grass fire at 812 Patton Road at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and at 2:23 p.m. Sunday there were some trees on fire in the river, half a mile west of Stone Lake. Chief Mike Napolitano said it was difficult to gain access to that fire because of its location, so firefighters ...
