Lady Panthers compete at Wichita Northwest

WICHITA — The Great Bend High School girls swim team took 15th out of 22 teams on Saturday at the Wichita Northwest invitational.
“Competing with a lot of those schools that are (Class) 6A, I think that it really helps the girls,” GBHS coach Stephanie Maier said. “They got to swim against some faster competition and a lot of the girls really improved their times.
“In a competition like that it is more about the individual times than the team’s overall standings.”
The Lady Panthers’ top finish belonged to freshman Hannah Hildebrand, who took seventh place in the 100-yard butterfly ...
