Three seniors from Great Bend High School were recently awarded the Summerfield Scholarship and admitted into the University of Kansas Honors Program. The Scholars Recognition Reception took place on April 3 in Lawrence at the University of Kansas Campus in Hasinger Hall. Dr. Kala Stroup, a Great Bend High School graduate, Woman’s Hall of Fame Recipient at the University of Kansas and Watkins-Berger Scholarship Alumna was the Keynote Speaker for this very prestigious award banquet. ...
