We need to take security seriously

Maybe Americans can develop some objectivity in the wake of this week’s news of the killing of Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, maybe we can understand the dangers that still face our nation, maybe.
And then again, maybe not.
This week, Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback did the right thing by calling for increased security in this state, though there will undoubtedly be some who question him, especially if they are inconvenienced in the least.
It’s like people on passenger jets, griping because security is taking longer than they would like, and forgetting that if there is a problem ...
