I am reminding everyone to wear their seat belts when operating or riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle. The most current seat belt law which allows law enforcement officers the ability to stop a vehicle if either of the front seat occupants in a vehicle are seen not wearing a seat belt.

If you do not wear you seat belt, you can be stopped and cited for the violation. If your 18 years of age or older you can receive a fine of $5. As of July 1, 2011 that fine will rise to $10. If you are ...
