Lyle “George” and Connie Wharton will celebrate their 40th anniversary with a reception and dance, at 6:30 p.m. on May 28, at the American Legion. Hosts for the event will be their children, Staci and Matthew Smith of Las Vegas, Nev., Stephanie and Todd Lagerman of Riley, and their grandchildren, Lily and Logan Lagerman of Riley.
