HOISINGTON — Robert "Bob" K. Littrell, 83, died May 22, at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Born April 7, 1928 in Hoisington, he was the son of George D. and Gladys M. (Vandenberg) Littrell. On June 20, 1950 he married Betty Arlene Durand in Hoisington. She died on May 22, 2001. A lifetime resident of Hoisington, he was employed as a production superintendent for Terra Resources before retiring in 1982. He managed the Lake Barton Golf Course pro shop and was a bus driver for USD #428.

Mr. Littrell served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council #1521, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7428, Lake Barton Golf Course.

Survivors include a son, Mike Littrell and wife Jozet, of Hoisington; four daughters, Christa Beck and husband Jerry of Claflin, Debbie Davis and husband Mike, Sandy Ray and husband Jim and Marte Littrell, all of Hoisington; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, George Littrell, Jr.

Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington with Father Dwight Birket and Father Ultan Murphy officiating. Burial will be at the St. John Cemetery in Hoisington with military graveside rites by the Hoisington VFW #7428 and the American Legion #286. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today with Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Kans for Kids, Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington Park and Tree Department, all in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at
