Items stolen from vehicles


Great Bend Police Chief Dean Akings reports there have been several vehicular burglaries in recent days.

In one recent case, several cameras, and iPod and a Garmin GPS were stolen from a vehicle parked in front of 2913 Quivira St., sometime between 11 p.m. on May 25 and 9 a.m. on May 26. Loss was $1,150.

"Please always keep your vehicles locked and valuables out of sight," Akings advised. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 792-1300, or 888-305-1300 for toll-free calls outside of Great Bend.
