Dr. Bauer joins Great Bend Internists at St. Rose

When Tom Bauer, M.D., gestured toward the window of his new office at Great Bend Internists (GBI), he said: "I was born right over there — right across the street." He was referring to the original site of St. Rose Hospital on the Dominican Sisters convent grounds.

On Wednesday, Dr. Bauer started seeing patients at GBI, which is owned by St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center. He is replacing Dr. Richard Preston who recently retired, and is sharing offices with Drs. Jean Pringle and James McReynolds.

Drs. Bauer and Preston met at medical school and have been friends and professional colleagues ...
