CHS to hold city spruce-up day

CLAFLIN — Claflin High School students will have Claflin city spruce-up day at 1 p.m. on Oct. 10, meeting at CHS parking lot.

The students plan to pick-up trash, paint parking lines in the downtown area, and paint the shelter at the park.

The students would be glad for any help at all. "We are encouraging other participants from the Claflin community," said Kami Maxwell, event coordinator. They will clean "things we feel need cleaned."

They would also like to plant flower and shrubs.

For more information, contact the school at 587-3801.
