Braves drop two games in Hays

HAYS — The Great Bend Braves Class A American Legion baseball team fell short in both games of a doubleheader at Hays on Tuesday.
The Braves lost the first game 7-4 and the second game 8-3 to fall to 23-8 on the season.
Braden Jones pitched all six innings of the first game, giving up seven runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks. He recorded five strikeouts.
Daniel Herrman and Lance Ward both had a good game at the plate, each going 3-for-4. Herrman had one RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases.
