County considers collection complaint

Nuisance code violations will be investigated soon

A rural Barton County couple are seeking county involvement in a mess that needs cleaned up.
“I got a nuisance in my neighborhood,” Bill Pickle told the Barton County Commission recently.
Pickle and his wife, Cheryl, live at 36 NE 20 Road, and they are concerned about a property near them that is in need of cleaning up.
“I think something need to be done about it,” he told the commissioners.
The county has a nuisance ordinance in place that stipulates how materials stored around rural residences have to be maintained, vegetation controlled and other issues.
