THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... EDWARDS COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS... EXTREME EAST CENTRAL HODGEMAN COUNTY IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS... PAWNEE COUNTY IN SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS...UNTIL 530 PM CDT

AT 440 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PING PONG BALL SIZE HAIL...AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF KINSLEY...AND MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 35 MPH. * LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... OFFERLE... KINSLEY... LARNED... LEWIS... ZOOK... BELPRE... FELLSBURG... TROUSDALE... MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF EASTERN HODGEMAN...EDWARDS AND PAWNEE COUNTIES.

AT 412 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PING PONG BALL SIZE HAIL... AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH. THIS STORM WAS LOCATED NEAR ROZEL...AND MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH. AT 4:08 PM THE PUBLIC REPORTED QUARTER SIZED HAIL IN BURDETT.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... ROZEL... SANFORD... FRIZELL... GARFIELD... LARNED... LEWIS... MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF EDWARDS AND PAWNEE COUNTIES. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
