TV makes you stupid

Many of us are “young” enough to remember when we were warned not to sit too close to the TV or you’d go blind.
We may have been sitting in front of a black-and-white Admiral, we may have used Vice-grips to realign the antennae every time we changed to the other of two channels we could watch, we may have only gotten an hour and a half of kids’ programs per week — but we were supposed to make sure we didn’t go blind.
Now the issue is not going blind, but going stupid, or something to that effect ...
