Great Bend Fire Department


Firefighters made five ambulance runs Monday, three Tuesday and four Wednesday.

On Monday they went to 1206 Harding St. to check on light smoke in the house. The cause was a hot motor.

On Tuesday they responded to a possible gas leak at Third and Kiowa.

At 4 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to 6000 block of 16th St., and found a truck in flames. Damage was estimated at $20,000.

Someone cut the tire on a van and shot the windshield with a BB gun at 1560 K-96, it was reported Wednesday ...
