Welder stolen from truck


Crime Stoppers is seeking information about the theft of a Miller Bobcat welder that was stolen off a welding truck in Great Bend on Oct. 11.

Police Chief Dean Akings said the truck was located in Gressel Oilfield Yard at 701 Hubbard St. Sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, the mount bolts of the welder were cut off with a torch, and the heavy welder, valued at $2,000, was hauled off.
