Firefighter spaghetti boosts good causes

If the old saying is true — “There’s no rest for the wicked and the righteous don’t need it” — it certainly applies to the Great Bend Fire Department.
Firefighters had no more than wrapped up their Fire Prevention Month activities when they began their next special project — getting set for their annual spaghetti feed, planned for 5-7 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 723 Main.
According to Capt. Jim Schmeidler, the event continues as an important local fund raiser.
