Chevrolet celebrates 100th anniversary

HOISINGTON —Manweiler Chevrolet, 271 S. Main St. in Hoisington, will celebrate Chevrolet’s 100th anniversary and the 83rd anniversary of Manweilers from 8 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday.

The business was started by Gene Manweiler’s great-grandfather, F.B. Slade in 1928 and has been in the business every since. After he retired, son-in-laws August Manweiler and Wayne Maupin took over. The business passed on to Larry Manweiler and now Gene Manweiler.
