Veterans Appreciation Day set for Thursday

KansasWorks is holding its annual Veterans Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Kansas Workforce Center, 1025 Main Street in Great Bend.
Honored guests will include veterans from Pearl Harbor, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf and Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn. The public is invited to come and talk with the vets and offer their thanks.
Military vehicle displays, military memorabilia, flags will be on display throughout the day, and there will be speakers.
