POSTED November 15, 2011 3:28 p.m.

rinlee of Hoisington has been hired as the new director of Hoisington Main Street Inc. and began her duties on Nov. 7.

"Hoisington is a neat town with a lot of opportunities," said Brinlee. Her vision for the future includes honing in on the unique metal art and historic buildings downtown, as well as the upper living spaces.

"Downtown in 2016 is a refreshing clean town with activity," she said. "Buzzing with activity. I’m excited to start and see the possibilities.

"I enjoy being around people and watching people succeed," said the director.

Brinlee has lived in Hoisington for a year-and-a-half with her husband Kris, who is the pastor at the United Methodist Church. The couple has been married seven years and has three children and two grandchildren.

In her spare time, Jean likes to quilt and is involved in the Twisted Stitchers quilting group and helps restore trucks with her husband. She also likes to restore furniture.

They are active at the Hoisington Community Garden and also are a part of the FOCUS group that is working on restoring Pride Park.

"We really enjoy Hoisington," she said.

Jean has completed two years of college and has worked in various jobs in customer service and quality in production.

In the next week or so, HMSI will be moving to an office in Gambinos, but they will have the same phone number. Brinlee will be in the office part-time.

Prairie House Flowers will move into the old HMSI building.

"It’s a win-win situation," said Brinlee.
