CLAFLIN — Anthony (Tony) Albert Hoffman, 82, died Oct. 7 at Golden Living Center in Wilson. Born Dec. 9, 1927, in rural Claflin, he was the son of Anton and Winifred (Dolechek) Hoffman. He graduated in 1945 from Claflin High School, and attended Wichita State University, was a member of ROTC, and the University of Kansas. On June 1, 1950, he married Caroline Birzer in Hoisington.
