Rural residents eligible for Books by Mail

Central Kansas residents in rural areas can receive library books in the mail at no charge, according to Abigail Cuffey at Central Kansas Library Service, Great Bend.

CKLS’s Books by Mail is available to anyone living in a town with no public library or on a rural route in the following counties: Barton, Cloud, Ellis, Jewell, Lincoln, Logan, Mitchell, Osborne, Ottawa, Phillips, Republic, Rooks, Rush, Russell, Saline, and Smith. Participants receive a catalog and can order books with post cards in the catalog. CKLS mails the books and pays postage both way, Cuffey said.
