Festival of Trees: Shafer Gallery host holiday open house Sunday

Community members will have the opportunity to be immersed in a Christmas wonderland when Barton Community College hosts a holiday open house for its "Festival of Trees" exhibit, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday in the Shafer Gallery.

Area children have spent the past few weeks decorating trees throughout the gallery. In addition, the open house will feature holiday music by the Hieberts, model trains provided by the Golden Belt Model Railroad Association, the Schmidt Memorial Christmas Village will be on display, and the St. Justa Ceramics Guild will have items for sale.

Santa Claus will be on hand with treats ...
