Bernita Schloemer Clair will celebrate her 80th birthday on Dec. 27 with a card shower. Bernita was born in 1931 in Rush County. In 1949, she graduated from LaCrosse High School. She was married to Millard “Mitty” Schloemer from 1954 until his passing in 1982. She married Jack Clair in 1990 in Ellinwood, where the couple still resides.
