Great Bend hosts Dodge tonight for Homecoming

Tonight is Homecoming for Great Bend High School as the Panthers are entertaining Western Athletic Conference foe Dodge City.
Homecoming festivities will take place between the varsity girls and boys games.
The varsity girls game tips off at 6 at Panther Fieldhouse.
Great Bend’s boys, 2-6 overall, 1-1 WAC, snapped a six-game losing streak on Tuesday night, registering a 42-39 road win over rival Hays.
Dodge City, the defending conference champion and a Class 6A state tournament participant the past two seasons, is currently 3-2, 1-0.
The Red Demons, who were idle on Tuesday, routed Larned 62-24 in their most recent game last Friday at home.
Dodge’s losses have come at the hands of Goddard Eisenhower, 51-45, and Ulysses, 44-40, both on the road.
The Demons, who beat Goddard 60-36 in their season opener, upended Garden City 45-36 in their lone conference game.
Great Bend’s varsity girls (0-8, 0-2) will be taking on a Dodge City team that has won back-to-back WAC crowns.
The Lady Demons are 4-2, 0-1, having lost to Garden City in their lone league game.
