Library showing free movies


Great Bend Public Library, 1409 Williams St., will be showing free movies served with free popcorn this month, starting with an after-school movie at 3:30 p.m. this Friday. Open to all ages, the after-school movie is an animated blockbuster featuring race car Lightning McQueen and friends competing in the first-ever World Grand Prix.

The library will also show the movie Moneyball at 7 p.m. Friday, for people 18 years of age and older.

Library spokesman Jennifer King said the library will also continue weekly programming from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Mondays for students in grades ...
