Habitat for Humanity seeks weekend volunteers

 

Habitat for Humanity of Barton County has resumed construction on its latest building project at 1906 Hubbard. Volunteers are needed every Saturday until the project is finished, said Rachel Mawhirter.

The three bedroom, two bathroom house will soon become a home for the Wilkerson family of Great Bend. Daryl and Amber Wilkerson have four children, and are helping with the construction project by putting sweat equity hours during each volunteer weekend. This Saturday, volunteers are needed to come help the Wilkersons hang Sheetrock. Feb. 25 will be spent drywalling and hanging siding.
