Veterans rep to visit

LARNED — The Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Mobile Office will be located at the Larned Alco store from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday to assist eligible veterans and family members in obtaining benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Such benefits might include service connected disability compensation, improved pension benefits, death pensions, VA health care benefits, education benefits, vocational rehabilitation and much more. The office will be staffed by accredited veteran service representatives trained to provide information and assistance to veterans and family members.

Fish fry Thursday

LARNED — The Knights of Columbus will sponsor an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Scenic Drive in Larned.
The menu includes fish, scalloped potatoes, cole slaw, bread and drink. All proceeds will go to charitable causes.

Legislative coffees set

Representative Mitch Holmes and Senator Allen Schmidt have scheduled a pair of Legislative Forums Saturday at Larned and Rozel.
The Larned Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a Legislative Forum from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m at 502 Broadway in Larned. Coffee and donuts will be provided. For information, call (620) 285-6916.
The Pawnee County Farm Bureau Legislative Coffee is scheduled at 10 a.m. at the Rozel community Center in Rozel. Coffee and rolls will be provided. For more information call 620-804-2677.
