Lady Cougars win home opener against Hesston

The Barton Community College women’s tennis team began its season over the weekend in Oklahoma City, but rain kept them from finishing the competition.
When the Lady Cougars won their home-opening dual against Hesston on Wednesday, the dual also became their season opener. Barton won 8-1, losing one singles match due to an injury default.
“We started the season over the weekend in Oklahoma,” BCC head coach Lyle Stickney said. “We played on Friday, but we got rained out on Saturday, so we got a few matches in, but we didn’t get to finish. We’re 1-0 now ...
