Barton baseball team off to best start since 2005-06 season

With a five-game sweep this past weekend, the Barton Community College baseball team is off to a 12-1 start, their best start since the 2005-06 season when they started 7-1. 
The Cougars, who started the season 3-1 after a trip to Texas, have won ten straight including last weekend’s sweep of Western Nebraska. 
Barton won 5-4 and 7-2 on Friday, 14-9 and 11-4 on Saturday, then completed the series sweep with a nine-inning 7-2 victory on Sunday. 
The Cougars start a four-game series on the road with Hutchinson on Friday.
