SALINA — Robert Fredrick Ahlvers, 69, of Salina, died Aug. 21. Robert was born July 22, 1941, in Beloit, the second son of Leo and Eunice (Smith) Ahlvers. He grew up on the family farm near Glen Elder and graduated from Glen Elder High School. He attended Fort Hays State University. Robert (Bob) worked for Tractor Supply Company for more than 30 years in its different stores at Salina and St. Joseph, Mo. ...
