Major Gosser will celebrate his 80th birthday on April 30 with a card shower. He worked in the oil fields in Iowa, Colorado, Oklahoma and Kansas before retiring. In 1955, he married Phyllis Wickham. They have four children, Major Gosser II and Kathy of Clay Center, Neb., Susan Day and Terry of Englewood, Ohio, Jon Gosser and Bobbi of Amarillo, Texas, and Dawn Gosser of Ashville N.C.
