Rare coins reported stolen

Great Bend Police are investigating a report that a box of rare coins was stolen last August. Lt. William Browne said the box disappeared during the time the owner moved from one apartment complex to another in the city. The owner estimated the coins’ value at $35,000.

Suspect allegedly made purchases with stolen credit card

A Great Bend man was arrested Thursday after allegedly using a stolen credit card to purchase items in Great Bend. Over $1,500 in merchandise was purchased from three businesses on 10th St. using a stolen credit card.
