Moyd bests his top mark in long jump

HUTCHINSON — Great Bend High School’s Matt Moyd outdid himself in the long jump at the Hutchinson varsity meet on Friday.
Moyd reached a personal best of 21 feet, three inches for second place, beating his previous best of 20-10 while leading the Panthers to a sixth-place finish with 46 points.
The Lady Panthers took seventh place with 43 points.
Moyd also had a second-place time of 14.90 in the 110 hurdles. He had a pair of sixth-place finishes in the 100 dash (11.46) and the 200 (23.31).
